When Failure is Not an Option
The Armadillo VSAT is based upon the SkyEdge IP VSAT technology, including Gilat’s product experience with TCP and HTTP acceleration, VPN, QoS, high inbound bit rates, improved access scheme and modulations. The Armadillo was specially designed to function under severe weather conditions. All connectors are hermetically sealed to protect the electronics from water, sand and humidity. The internal heater and fans provide a temperature controlled environment for the most extreme conditions.
The Armadillo VSAT incorporates two options for power save modes, supporting solar powered operations where no external power lines are available.
Unmatched Functionality
As acceleration and other critical software is embedded within the VSATs, there is no need for external boxes or other non-weather proofed equipment. Software is easily managed, fully controlled and updated remotely from the Network Monitoring System.
